The Maltese breed as recognized
by the American Kennel Club is a member of the toy group of dogs. Between four
and seven pounds they weigh generally, and in the range of nine and ten inches
is their height. White is the most preferred color.
A very dignified mantle of long,
silky hair is present in the non-shedding
Maltese. Their hair is pure white in color, and bright, straight and they
don't have an undercoat. Their trademark is the lovely coat of white and these
dogs don't shed.
Among the oldest of the Toy
breeds, The Maltese breed is generally considered to be one. Their lovely little
dog is favored by the aristocracy, nobles, and royalty. They are very well-mannered dogs,
and affectionate too. A demeanor that is graceful and regal is displayed by
them.
Joy and delight are positively
exuded b the Maltese dogs. Especially with children, they are playful, and
they're highly intelligent and animated. You will always have a friend in him
if you know Maltese as they are also very social animals.
When they're the center of
attention, the hypoallergenic Maltese
are happy and content whether it's in their family home or in the show ring.
This is a quite devoted companion and is loving, bright and an endearing breed.
Their hair will become matted or this
lovely dog requires daily brushing and combing. To avoid hurting your dog by
pulling out hairs, you must care for it very gently as the coat is very soft
and silky. They, as a regular part of their hygiene routine, should be dry-bathed
or bathed. And so that they won't stain the facial fur the eyes of the Teacup Maltese need special care.
Keep their ears free of stray
hairs and clean too. To problems with their respiratory tract, as
well as disorders of the skin and their eyes, Maltese dogs are prone. In
weather that is very hot or very damp, they don't do well.
They are finicky eaters and they
sometimes suffer indigestion. And as they may experience tooth loss dental hygiene
needs to be maintained for the Tiny
Maltese.
If you choose this breed of dog
to adopt the Maltese will earn his way into your family. They are wonderful
companions and great family dogs.
